Kelly and I were finally able to head to California and visit Katie. She has been there for almost two years and we have been there once...for 24 hours. Now that I finally got Kelly out there I think we will be going a little more often. We had a blast.
The first night there we went to dinner with Ben and Vicki and their family. We love to see them. It doesn't happen very often. Mostly because they refuse to come to Utah to visit us.
After dinner we went to a Karaoke bar. I talked Kelly into singing in front of a bunch of people he doesn't know. He was awesome.
The next day was Katies birthday party. We spent the whole day on the beach and then barbecued at her house later that night. Did I mention her house is also on the beach? It was awesome! Sunday was Katies birthday. We went to breakfast and then to see Inglorious Basterds (a must see if I do say so myself, not as gory as I expected and Brad Pitt was great). That night we made dinner for the family she lives with and then headed off to LA to stay in a dive hotel so we could make our flight at 5 the next morning. All in all we had a great trip.

How in the heck does she get to live on the beach! Man, jealousy is raging through my blood right now. I'm glad you're still alive. I guess I would know that if I hopped on the Facebook bandwagon!
well I for one am glad that you blog and I miss you posting more frequently! looks like you guys had a good time. too bad you didn't get a video of that kid with the shark. iwould like to have seen that.
